SEEKING ENGINEERING INTERNSHIPS

From CAD to working hardware.

I design mechanisms, build prototypes, and work through the details that make them function. My experience spans underwater robotics, competition robots, and independent hardware projects.

01 SELECTED ENGINEERING WORK

The work.
And what went into it.

Design ownership, technical decisions, and results—from CAD assemblies to tested hardware.

AUTONOMOUS ROBOTICSP—02

MECHANICAL DESIGN CAPTAIN · 2025–2026

AUV retrieval
mechanism

A dual-gripper retrieval mechanism developed with electrical and software teammates.

MY CONTRIBUTION
Created assemblies and drawings; designed a mechanism with two servos and an RGB sensor mount.
DESIGN PRIORITIES
Function, reliability, manufacturability, and mechanical interfaces with the rest of the vehicle.

02 EXPERIENCE

Hands on.
Team focused.

Taking designs from a screen to the real world means working across mechanical, electrical, and software teams.

2025–2026UNIVERSITY OF CALGARY

Mechanical Design Captain

Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Club

Created CAD assemblies, component models, and engineering drawings. Led iteration of a dual-gripper retrieval mechanism and coordinated mechanical interfaces through design reviews, assembly, and testing.

2025COMPETITION ROBOTICS

Team Captain

Skills Competition

Built a robot from the ground up to accurately launch snowballs, combining mechanical design, fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting under competition constraints.

2022–2024NELSON MANDELA HIGH SCHOOL

Design Captain

FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics

Led mechanical design for competition robots. Integrated motors, linkages, and color sensors, and collaborated with programmers on autonomous tasks. Contributed to a Southern Alberta Championship gold medal.

03 THE ENGINEER BEHIND THE WORK

Curiosity.
With a practical side.

I’m Nahum, a mechanical engineering student who enjoys understanding how things work—and finding ways to make them work better.

My experience spans underwater robotics, competition mechanisms, and independent hardware projects. I like the entire process: working through constraints, building a prototype, figuring out why something failed, and improving the next version.

Alongside engineering, I’m pursuing a minor in Entrepreneurship and Enterprise. I also enjoy connecting people with opportunities to learn and contribute.
